Parkinson’s disease map#
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disease in the world. Although many genetic and environmental factors contributing to the risk of PD have been identified, no unique causal mechanism is defined. The PD map is a pathway database of mechanisms involved in the development of the disease.
PD map is a manually curated knowledge repository of molecular mechanisms of PD. It compiles over 1500 scientific articles into an easy to explore and freely accessible resource. The map is hosted the MINERVA Platform, making it available for online exploration, data visualisation, and computational analysis.
Key functionalities of the PD map include:
- interactive online exploration
- search for content, or drug and small molecule targets
- data upload for registered users (ORCID login)
- computational analysis
Archived projects#
Find our earlier versions of the PD map from the LCSB WebDav. These files should be either
- uploaded to the MINERVA Plaform or
- unarchived and opened individually in CellDesigner.
